Sarah Lewis, Manager of the Food, Beverage & Agriculture Sector, is currently representing TSC at the Sustainability Council Hosted by The Innovation Center for US Dairy in Chicago. Objectives of the meeting include:

  • Present the overall 2011 and 2012 plan on how the dairy industry will develop tools and systems to assess, measure, innovate and
    communicate on sustainability.
  • Present to the Sustainability Council updates on the greenhouse gas projects, scientific research, and measurement work.
  • Provide an opportunity for members to share their sustainability success stories.

The multi-stakeholder group is meeting to discuss the items above and more, with Sarah representing and comparing progress on The Sustainability Consortium’s Sustainability Measurement and Reporting System (SMRS), currently under Level 1 development.
