The social metrics committee, under the leadership of Catherine Benoit and her team, has drafted 6 initial Social Sustainability Performance Indicators (SPI) to be applied across all Consortium sectors. The draft SPIs are based on previous work done by Ms. Benoit and her team, including projects such as the Social Hotspot Database (www.socialhotspot.org). The SPIs will go through several rounds of review before they are finalized, and will lead to future Social SPIs that are specific to individual sectors and product categories.
