MEASURING ANTIBIOTIC STEWARDSHIP IN ANIMAL AGRICULTURE

August 17, 2021 @ 10:30 am - 11:15 am UTC+5

Antibiotics are a crucial tool in the animal agriculture business, but poor antibiotic stewardship practices can lead to industry-wide consequences. In THESIS 2021, TSC is introducing the all-new Antibiotic Stewardship THESIS assessment to help animal protein suppliers measure and benchmark antibiotic practices in their supply chain. During this session, hear from veterinarians Dr. Daryl V. Nydam, Cornell University, and Dr. Mike Apley, Kansas State University, who will elaborate on best practices for antibiotics stewardship and how antibiotic stewardship science has been woven into THESIS. Alongside them will be TSC Food, Beverage, and Ag Technical Development manager Dr. Teresa Garcia-Moore to provide detail on TSC’s multi-stakeholder development process and what the assessment will look like for THESIS animal protein suppliers.
